Dance Class Dress Code​

Young Dancers

​

*Please note that any shoes listed for recital-based dance classes will be required as part of the dancers' recital costumes*

 

Ages 2&3 Intro to Dance

  • Any fitted dancewear (most dancers wear a leotard or a dance dress and tights)

  • Pink leather full-sole ballet shoes

  • Boys: any comfortable clothing, black leather full-sole ballet shoes

  • A bag to carry dance shoes

  • A face mask

Ages 3&4 Ballet&Tap Combo

  • Any fitted dancewear (most dancers wear a leotard or a dance dress and tights)

  • Hair pulled back out of face

  • Pink leather full-sole ballet shoes

  • Black patent velcro tap shoes

  • Boys: any comfortable clothing, black leather full-sole ballet shoes, black lace-up tap shoes

  • A bag to carry dance shoes

  • A face mask

 

Ages 5&6 Ballet&Tap Combo

  • Any fitted dancewear (most dancers wear a leotard or a dance dress and tights)

  • Hair pulled back out of face

  • Pink leather full-sole ballet shoes

Ages 5&6 Ballet, Jazz, and Tap Classes

  • Any fitted dancewear (most dancers wear a leotard or a dance dress and tights)

  • Tan slip-on jazz shoes for Jazz Class

  • Black patent velcro tap shoes for Tap Class

  • A bag to carry dance shoes

Ages 3&4 Acro and Ages 5&6 Acro

  • Any fitted dancewear or tight-fitting shirt and shorts

(keep in mind that dancers will be going upside down!)

  • Hair pulled back out of face

  • Bare feet​

  • A bag to place street shoes

  • A face mask

Ages 5-8 Hip Hop

  • Any comfortable clothing

  • Flat-soled sneakers, preferably ones that are specific for dance and are not also worn on the street

  • A bag to carry dance shoes

  • A face mask

Ages 3-5 Ballet&Tap In-Person Session

  • Any fitted dancewear (most dancers wear a leotard or a dance dress and tights)

  • Hair pulled back out of face

  • Any ballet shoes

  • Any tap shoes

  • A bag to carry dance shoes

  • A face mask

 

Zoom Session Classes

  • Any dancewear that allows the teacher to see how the dancer is moving

  • Hair pulled back

  • Something on the dancer's feet that allows them to move freely on the floor surface without slipping or sticking (socks on carpet, ballet shoes or bare feet on hardwood, etc)

  • A device with a charging cord and a camera set up in a place so the teacher can see the dancer's entire body

Older Dancers

  • Hair in a secure bun

  • Pink leather split-sole ballet shoes

  • Hair pulled back out of face

  • A bag to carry dance shoes
